ABOUT

Eleonora Laufer (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a photographer whose practice draws from over 15 years in dance and teaching, and other practices connected to the body and attention. In 2017, she discovered photography as a means to deepen her creative and personal journey, gradually developing a visual language rooted in contemplation, intuition, and the poetry of everyday life.

Her photographs explore the quiet tension between presence and absence, revealing subtle traces of the human within seemingly empty environments. Through a minimal and contemplative approach, she observes spaces, objects, and small encounters that might otherwise go unnoticed, allowing them to acquire a quiet poetic presence.

Rather than imposing a single reading, her work leaves room for personal associations, memories, and meanings. Her images invite a slower and more attentive way of looking, where even in places where seemingly nothing is happening, there may always be something waiting to be seen.
